IN A HEAVY SAUCEPAN HEAT WHOLE MILK* UNTIL HOT (160 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT). ADD MIX AND STIR BRISKLY WITH WIRE WHIP. ADD BUTTER. BRING TO A BOIL STIRRING CONSTANTLY FOR 2 MINUTES WITH WIRE WHIP. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND STIR OCCASIONALLY FOR 1 MINUTE THEN SERVE. *FOR A LIGHTER SAUCE SUBSTITUTE 1% LOWFAT MILK AND/OR OMIT BUTTER.
