Basic Preparation
TO USE AS A WET BATTER MIX ONE CUP OF DRAKE'S CRISPY FRY MIX WITH ONE CUP OF LIQUID SUCH AS WATER BEER SODA POP WHITE WINE OR CLUB SODA OR TO MAKE A 12.5# BAG WITH 30 CUPS OF LIQUID. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING MILK. COMBINE THE DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX AND LIQUID TO ACHIEVE A PANCAKE LIKE BATTER CONSISTENCY. FOODS WHICH CAN BE WET BATTERED ARE COD ONION RINGS MUSHROOMS PEPPERS DILL PICKLES SNICKERS BARS TWINKIES ETC. THE FOOD TO BE BATTERED SHOULD BE DRY TO THE TOUCH. DRY FOOD ON A PAPER TOWEL OR ROLL IN DRY DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX BEFORE BATTERING. PLACE FOOD PRODUCT INTO THE WET BATTER COVERING FOOD COMPLETELY. REMOVE FOOD PRODUCT FROM WET BATTER AND PLACE INTO A 375 DEGREE DEEP FAT FRYER. COOK PRODUCTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 - 4 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. REMOVE PRODUCT FROM THE DEEP FAT FRYER AND PLACE ON PAPER TOWELS TO COOL BEFORE PLATING OR SERVING. TO USE DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX AS A DRY BREADER MOISTEN FOODS TO BE BREADED WITH A LIQUID PLACE FOOD ITEM INTO THE DRY DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX AND COAT THE FOOD ITEM COMPLETELY. FOODS WHICH CAN BE BREADED ARE PORK CHOPS CHICKEN STEAKS FISH ETC. REMOVE THE FOOD ITEM FROM THE DRY DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX AND PLACE INTO A 375 DEGREE DEEP FAT FRYER. COOK PRODUCTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 - 4 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. REMOVE PRODUCT FROM THE DEEP FAT FRYER AND PLACE ON PAPER TOWELS TO COOL BEFORE PLATING OR SERVING. TO BREAD OVEN FRIED CHICKEN PLACE CHICKEN INTO LIQUID MARGARINE AND THEN INTO THE DRY DRAKE'S CRISPY FRYMIX. REMOVE COATED CHICKEN AND PLACE ONTO A LIGHTLY GREASED BAKING PAN AND BAKE THE CHICKEN FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR IN A 375 DEGREE OVEN.
